Kansas City, MO
The biggest city in the state of Missouri is Kansas City with a population of 475,800 from a 2009 US census. It has a metropolitan area population over two million but that makes it second place in terms of land territory as Wichita has the biggest territory. Kansas City comprises 318 square miles in sections of Jackson, Clay, Cass, and Platte counties. It is located just opposite of Kansas City.

The city is well known for being dynamic with an active arts scene, an exquisite combination of shops and having contributions to the blues and jazz music which make it a pleasant discovery for travelers as well as residents.

More than fifty-percent of Columbians have a bachelor's degree and more than twenty-five percent have master's degrees which makes it the 13th most highly educated city in the United States.

Springfield, MO
Springfield has an approximate population of 662,587 within a fifty-mile radius of Springfield as of 2009. It is the origin of route 66. The city has more than 42,000 college students and has a wide choice of colleges and universities in the city. Missouri State University (MSU) is the state's 2nd largest university with an estimated 23,000 college students. For the seventh straight year, The Princeton Review's 2010 list of "Best Colleges" picked MSU. Other colleges including the well-respected private university, Drury University, which has roughly 4,000 students and constantly ranks as one of the top 10 Midwest universities in U.S. News and World Report's Top 10 .

Jefferson City, MO
Jefferson City is the capital city in the state of Missouri and is situated in Callaway and Cole County. Since 2008, the population is over 40,700. The city was named after, the 3rd president of the United States of America, Thomas Jefferson. Lincoln University is a historically black university with open enrollment and 4 year and graduate degree programs.
